Left the road at 90

I heard this one today. I had forgotten about it. It describes reckless driving. I used to think it had something to do with Highway 90. Then I connected Highway 98 with it since a stretch of that road is called Dead Man's Highway (or something similar). But I think the 90 refers to 90 mphs.

And speaking of speed. What's up with the AL State Troopers everywhere? Geeesh.

All I know is that when I was 20, I left the road at 48 and hit a tree, totaled my car, lost some teeth, scarre3d my face and dang near lost a radio job 'cause I couldn't talk right for a month.

That was one of them days when the Lord's repetitive stress disorder was actin' up, from keepin' me alive.

For what, I'm not yet sure.

Hey, I am fixin' to start that Rick Warren "Who am I and Why the Hell I am I Here?" book. You got any thoughts on it? (Wrong blog! Sorry!)

Here are a few more southernisms for reckless driving:

1. "Hittin' the high spots."

2.Huntin' the other end of the highway.'

3."Totin' the mail."

4."Haulin' buggy."

5."Hangin' it's toungue out."

I hope you like these...
I am going to add you to my blogroll if that's alright.
Your blog makes me happy. =)
